Job summary

Roseberry Care Centres is seeking a Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) for Primrose Lodge in North Shields. The role bridges care staff and nursing supervision, delivering enhanced clinical support while working under a nurse or manager.

The CHAP will assist with wound care, observations, medication rounds, and care plan reviews, and will mentor care staff to uphold high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Leadership and communication skills essential.
• Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role.
• Confident with medication administration and clinical observations.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or higher).

Hours: 33 Hours Per Week

Your Role:

As a Care Home Assistant Practitioner with Roseberry Care, you'll play a vital role in our care team, bridging the gap between healthcare assistants and registered nurses, providing enhanced care responsibilities while still working under the supervision of a nurse or manager.

What We're Looking For:

• Must hold a Care Home Assistant Practitioner Certificate (essential)
• Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
• Confident with medication administration and clinical observations
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or higher)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
