Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS foundation Trust is seeking a Support Officer to assist the Care Group Management team in delivering and managing patients on the DM01 and 18 week RTT pathways, ensuring adherence to local and national targets.

You will supervise the medical secretariat within Long Term Conditions and lead Endoscopy staffing including sickness, recruitment, induction, mandatory training, CPD facilitation and time-sheets.

Job description

The role of this position is to support the Care Group Management team in the delivery and management of all patients on the DM01 and 18 week RTT pathways, both outpatient and in-patient; ensuring adherence to local and national targets. In addition, you will be required to ensure that processes within the care group pathways and quality indicators are being met. This will involve working with various levels of personnel in order to ensure that deadlines are met. The Support Officer will support the Care Group Management team with the overall supervision of the medical secretariat within Long Term Conditions.

General Responsibilities - Managerial:

• To supervise and lead a group of staff within Endoscopy and incorporating all staff issues:
• Sickness Management
• Recruitment and Selection
• Induction Training
• Mandatory training and development in accordance with organisation policies
• Training of staff in the work place
• KSF Process and facilitation of continued professional development
• Attendance records/signing time sheets
• Managing of annual leave and time in lieu
• Overtime management
• Competency issues
• Disciplinary issues initiate appropriate action
• Investigate and action complaints
• Ensure a continuous level of staffing is available in the relevant areas
