Job summary

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a proactive Care Group Manager for the Division of Medicine. You will provide operational leadership to the Care Group, supported by senior operations staff, driving performance against financial, activity and quality targets.

The role requires leadership experience at senior level, strategic insight, and commitment to professional development within the NHS framework. This is a 12-month secondment with on-call responsibilities as per rota.

Qualifications

• Formal education to first degree level or equivalent ability or working towards or experience at NHS operational management.
• Post graduate training in Business or NHS Management in progress or completed.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of the Care Group within the Division of Medicine.
• Support the Director of Operations and Divisional Director to meet financial, activity, patient experience and clinical targets.
• Develop and implement service and divisional policies in line with strategic aims.
