HC-One is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for its Mansfield-based kitchen, delivering nutritious meals while upholding residents' comfort and dignity. The role emphasizes kindness, adherence to dietary needs, and safe kitchen practice under guidance from the Chef or Cook.

Qualifications

• Must have some kitchen experience and a real passion for helping others.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation under direction of the Chef or Cook.
• Serve meals with warmth and respect in a timely and friendly manner.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene of equipment and surfaces.
• Monitor and record food storage temperatures (fridges, freezers, etc.).
• Support stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients.
• Show new team members how to safely use kitchen equipment.
