Job summary

Helping Hands Home Care in Middlesbrough is seeking a dedicated Care Coordinator to keep extraordinary care running smoothly. You’ll work with the Branch Care Manager to support carers, customers and the community, ensuring visits are well-planned and everyone feels supported.

The role requires care sector experience (supervisory preferred), knowledge of CQC/CIW standards, a UK driving licence, and strong communication. The company offers progression, generous leave and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience in care, ideally supervisory experience.
• Understanding of CQC/CIW regulatory standards and best practice.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Strong communication, decision-making and people-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Care Manager to deliver high-quality care in the local area.
• Allocate carers to ensure consistent, excellent support for customers.
• Complete supervisions and observations on time to develop carers.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new carers.
• Review and update care plans to reflect needs and preferences.
• Identify opportunities to grow the branch and engage with the community.
• Champion outstanding customer service in every interaction.

As a Care Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of keeping extraordinary care running smoothly. Working closely with your Branch Care Manager, you’ll support carers, customers and the wider community, making sure every visit is well-planned, every team member feels supported, and every customer receives care they can truly rely on.

What you’ll do

• Support your Branch Care Manager to deliver exceptional care across your local area.
• Allocate carers effectively so customers receive consistent, high-quality support.
• Complete supervisions and observations on time, helping carers grow and maintain great practice.
• Help recruit and onboard new carers, strengthening the branch’s capacity and community impact.
• Review and update care plans so they reflect each customer’s needs, preferences and wellbeing.
• Look for opportunities to grow the branch, supporting local engagement and commercial activity.
• Champion brilliant customer service, ensuring every interaction feels considered and kind.
