Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Coordinator to be at the heart of caring operations in the local area. You will work with the Branch Care Manager to ensure visits are well-planned, carers are supported, and customers receive reliable care.

This role requires experience in care, supervisory capability, and a strong understanding of regulatory standards. A driving licence and a people-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience in the care sector, ideally in a supervisory role.
• Understanding of CQC/CIW regulatory standards and best practice.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and people-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Care Manager to deliver exceptional care across the local area.
• Allocate carers to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
• Complete supervisions and observations on time to aid carer development.
• Recruit and onboard new carers to strengthen branch capacity.
• Review care plans reflecting customer's needs and wellbeing.
• Support branch growth and community engagement, and on-call duties.

What you’ll do

• Support your Branch Care Manager to deliver exceptional care across your local area.
• Allocate carers effectively so customers receive consistent, high-quality support.
• Complete supervisions and observations on time, helping carers grow and maintain great practice.
• Help recruit and onboard new carers, strengthening the branch’s capacity and community impact.
• Review and update care plans so they reflect each customer’s needs, preferences and wellbeing.
• Look for opportunities to grow the branch, supporting local engagement and commercial activity.
• Champion brilliant customer service, ensuring every interaction feels considered and kind.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
