Job summary

Nexxus Care in Cannock is seeking a Care Assistant to provide in-home support, helping clients stay independent and safe in their own homes.

You will assist with personal care, meals, and domestic tasks, monitor wellbeing, and keep accurate records. Full training is provided, and a DBS check is required. A driving licence and access to a car are essential for visiting clients across Wombourne and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring or willingness to learn in home settings.
• Full training provided at the company training hub in Cannock.
• Enhanced DBS check required and onboarding process.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks; washing, showering, toileting.
• Promote dignity and independence for clients at home.
• Administer medications as directed and monitor wellbeing.
• Prepare meals and support eating and drinking when needed.
• Provide domestic help including laundry and cleaning.
• Record observations and complete duty documentation accurately.

Care Assistant - Domiciliary Care- Wombourne and surrounding areas

As a care assistant you will provide care to individuals in their own home to ensure they remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.

The role will include support with:

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks - washing, showering and toileting
• Promoting dignity
• Medication administration
• Preparing meals and supporting clients during eating and drinking, where required
• Domestic help including laundry and general cleaning
• Monitoring changes in clients wellbeing, mobility or behaviour
• Ensuring accurate documentation of any duties completed and observations
