Job summary

Nexxus Care in Cannock is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant for domiciliary care in Cannock and surrounding areas. You will visit clients at home to help them stay independent, with personal care, meals, light domestic tasks and medication support.

The role offers flexible hours (mornings 7am–2pm, evenings 3pm–10pm, alternate weekends). Driving licence and access to a car are essential; enhanced DBS and onboarding apply; full training is provided at our training hub in Cannock.

• Drivers licence and access to a car are essential.
• All successful candidates are subject to an enhanced DBS check as well as a complete onboarding process.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks - washing, showering and toileting
• Promoting dignity
• Medication administration
• Preparing meals and supporting clients during eating and drinking, where required
• Domestic help including laundry and general cleaning
• Monitoring changes in clients wellbeing, mobility or behaviour
• Ensuring accurate documentation of any duties completed and observations
