Job summary

Essex Cares is seeking a Care Assistant to support customers in reablement, helping them relearn daily living skills at home and in the community. You will provide personal care, medication support, mobility assistance, and meals, travelling between customers across Wittering and surrounding areas.

The role requires a full driving licence and own insured vehicle, with shifts including early/late and some weekends.

Qualifications

• Care Assistant experience preferred; training provided for non-experienced candidates.
• Must hold a full driving licence with own vehicle insured for business use.
• DBS check will be completed.
• Right to work in the UK is required.

Job description

This is a permanent Care Assistant post in the community reablement service at Essex Cares, which helps customers regain their independence. The work centres on helping people relearn daily living skills at home and in the community, including personal care, medication support, mobility and meals. The role requires your own vehicle and driving between customers, with early and late shifts and, on some contracts, every other weekend. Applicants who need visa sponsorship cannot apply directly, so the right to work in the UK must already be held.

What’s required

Experience

• Availability for early and late shifts, including every other weekend on some contracts
