Job summary

Almond Valley Care Home in Livingston is seeking a caring Care Assistant to provide person-centred support to residents across Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite services. You will help with daily living, personal care, mobility and nutrition, following care plans to promote dignity and independence, while contributing to a warm, respectful and safe environment.

Full training and ongoing development are provided; previous experience is helpful but not essential, with SVQ Level 2

Job description

Almond Valley Care Home is a purpose built 66 bed care home located in Almondside, Livingston. Providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care, the home offers a modern, high quality environment where team members can deliver person centred care, develop their skills and be part of a supportive and welcoming team.

Care Assistant Contract

  • £13.60 per hour
  • 8PM until Midnight
  • Paid PVG pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
