Wood Care Group is seeking a Caring Care Assistant in Barnsley to support residents with personal care and daily activities. You’ll help with washing, dressing, meals and social engagement, while adhering to safeguarding and safety procedures.

Training is provided, and previous care home experience is welcome but not required. We value compassionate, reliable team members who can communicate well and work flexibly across shifts.

Qualifications

• Kind and caring people who want to make a difference in residents’ lives.
• Level 2 in Health & Social Care or care certificate; training provided.
• Previous experience in a Care Home is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of leading a team is desirable.
• Committed and organised approach with confidence in communication (verbal and written).
• Flexible to work shifts.

Responsabilités

• Care for residents' physical, psychological and social needs.
• Assist residents with personal care activities (washing, hygiene, dressing) and meals.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain professional development; support training for staff.
• Adhere to safeguarding responsibilities and promote resident choice and control.
• Comply with fire procedures and health and safety requirements.
