Job summary

Woodgreen Healthcare is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Care Assistant to join our team. In this vital role you will help create a comfortable and supportive environment for residents, promoting independence while safeguarding dignity and respect.

You will deliver person-centred care, assist with feeding, bathing, mobility and daily living tasks, and work closely with nurses and colleagues to ensure high standards of safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience in any setting.
• Genuine passion for helping people with care needs.
• Able to communicate clearly in English.
• Willingness to work as part of a supportive, compassionate team.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care including feeding, washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Promote social and daily living skills; assist residents with limited mobility and participate in activities.
• Supervise residents, report incidents to Nurse-in-Charge and follow policies.
• Assist with serving meals, laundry, maintaining clean bedrooms and welcoming visitors.
• Complete written records and attend mandatory training and staff meetings.
