Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide compassionate support in our 24-hour residential and dementia care settings. You will help residents maintain independence, dignity and choice while assisting with daily activities and mobility needs.

The role emphasises confidentiality, respect and the押 values of openness and responsibility. Experience in elder care is desirable; QCF Level 2 in Care is preferred but not essential.

• An understanding of the needs of residents
• Confidentiality in handling information
• QCF diploma in care level 2 or equivalent (Desirable)
• Experience of providing care (Desirable)
• Experience of working with elders (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Give support and care to residents while maintaining independence, privacy, dignity and choice
• Assist with preparing residents for bed and morning routines
• Assist with dressing, washing, bathing and toileting
• Assist residents with mobility and use of personal equipment
• Support personal hygiene including incontinence

As a Care Assistant, you will:

• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice
• Assist with preparing residents for bed and/or assist them in the morning.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
• Experience of providing care (Desirable)
• Experience of working with elders (Desirable)
