Salary: Real Living Wage – Paid apprenticeship, with structured training and development supported in partnership with Paragon Skills

Are you passionate about helping others? Want to start a meaningful career in care with expert support and a clear growth pathway? Come and join Greensleeves Care — a not-for-profit care charity where care comes first and people really matter.

Why an Apprenticeship with Us Is Different

At Greensleeves Care you won’t just learn on the job — you’ll be part of a supportive team that values your growth and wellbeing from day one. As an apprentice here, you will:

  • Earn the real living wage while you learn — get paid more than a typical apprenticeship, while gaining hands‑on experience in a real care setting.
  • Develop real care skills, that will give you a fantastic platform for your career journey, whilst making a genuine difference to people’s lives.
  • Experience compassionate care lived every day — our culture prioritises respect, openness and responsibility.
  • Be part of a mission‑led charity, where your contribution helps improve care not profits.
About Us

You have seen hundreds of care jobs today, why are we different?

At Greensleeves Care, we’re not driven by profit, we’re driven by purpose. As an award‑winning, not‑for‑profit charity, every penny we earn goes straight back into our homes, our people, and the people we care for. That means better quality, better training, better benefits, and most importantly, better care… for everyone.

Join us and be part of a modern care organisation that puts compassion first, celebrates your growth, and empowers you to build a rewarding career you can be proud of. For our people, not shareholders!

As a New to Care Apprentice Care Assistant, you will:

  • Support residents with daily living activities in a kind, respectful and person‑centred way.
  • Build strong relationships with residents and their families.
  • Learn essential care skills from experienced practitioners.
  • Work as part of a team to provide safe, compassionate support and promote independence.
  • Whilst doing all of the above, remembering “fun and laughter!” are an essential part of everybody’s day!
Development and Career Progression

We are lucky enough to have been chosen as early adopters of the Pioneer Pathway, developed with Skills for Care and the Department of Health and Social Care, a sector‑wide career framework that sets out the knowledge, skills, values and behaviours needed at every stage of a care career. This means:

  • Clear expectations and learning goals that match nationally recognised role categories.
  • A structured path from new to care through to care/support worker, enhanced care worker and beyond.
  • Ongoing training and support to help you grow your skills and explore opportunities in leadership and specialist roles.
  • Recognition of your development at every stage — not just day one.

Whether you’re fresh from school, returning to work, or changing careers, our apprenticeship, supported by award‑winning apprenticeship provider Paragon Skills gives you the skills, confidence and qualifications to build a long‑term, fulfilling career in care.
