Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a Care Assistant (Days) to support residents in our 24-hour care homes across England. You will help with daily living, personal care, and mobility while upholding residents’ rights to privacy and independence.

Desirable qualifications include a QCF Level 2 in care, and prior care experience, especially with elders. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for learning and development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• An understanding of the needs of residents.
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
• QCF diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable).
• Experience of providing care (Desirable).
• Experience of working with elders (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Give support and care to residents while maintaining rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice.
• Assist residents with dressing, washing, bathing and toileting.
• Help residents with mobility and use of aids and personal equipment.
• Support residents with personal hygiene, including incontinence.
• Promote Greensleeves Care workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

As a Care Assistant (Days), you will:

• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.
