Job summary

Greensleeves Care is hiring a Care Assistant to provide compassionate support to residents across our 26 England-based care homes. You will assist with daily living, personal care and mobility, upholding residents' dignity and independence.

The role emphasizes confidentiality and a caring, respectful approach. Training and development are provided as part of our supportive employer package.

Qualifications

• An understanding of the needs of residents (must have)
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality (must have)
• Desirable: QCF diploma in care level 2 or equivalent
• Desirable: Experience of providing care
• Desirable: Experience of working with elders

Responsibilities

• Give support and care to residents while maintaining independence, privacy, dignity and choice
• Assist with preparing residents for bed and/or morning routines
• Assist with dressing/undressing, washing, bathing and toilet use
• Assist with mobility and use of personal equipment
• Support personal hygiene including continence care
• Promote Greensleeves Care workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility

As a Care Assistant, you will:

• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice
• Assist with preparing residents for bed and/or assist them in the morning.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.
