Job summary

Home Instead Thornbury is hiring Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes across the local area. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care with visits of at least one hour, helping with daily routines and personal care in a friendly, supportive team.

We offer a guaranteed 30-hour week contract, paid mileage, and full training through our Care Skills Academy. No experience required; driving licence and vehicle preferred where possible.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Aged 18 or over.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with day-to-day activities to promote independence at home.
• Assist with getting clients up, breakfast, medication and personal care.
• Provide home help tasks, meal preparation, and end-of-day routines.
• Visit each client for a minimum of 1 hour to build relationships.

Job description

*Guaranteed hours contract of 30 hours per week*

Working hours: 8am - 1pm & 5pm - 9:45pm 4 days per week, plus an alternate weekend.

We are looking for new Care Assistant's to join our team and support our ever-growing client base with their day-to-day lives and to remain as independent as possible within their own homes.

As a Care Assistant with us, we do things differently and believe in lasting relationships. You will support the same clients regularly and with visits a minimum of 1 hour, you have plenty of time and no need to rush!

Covering our core times, you will support with getting our clients up and ready for their day, breakfast & medication, personal care needs, home help tasks, meal preparation and the end of day teatime and bedtime routines.
