Job summary

Komplex Care is seeking a Care Assistant to join a nurse-led home care team in Wolverhampton. You will support a gentleman with spinal injury and transverse myelitis, delivering safe, person-centred care in his own home, following detailed clinical plans and working with nurse oversight.

Role involves personal care, catheter care, moving and handling, and managing equipment such as tracheostomy and ventilation. Full UK driving licence and commitment to safe care are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training.
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently.
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.
• Genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care.

The Role

Role: Care Assistant

Location: Wolverhampton

Hours: Waking Nights - 12 Hour Shifts

Payrate: £13.50 per hour

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You’ll join a dedicated, nurse-led team providing hands-on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs.

This is NOT standard domiciliary care. You’ll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual’s condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home. Your responsibilities may include:

• Monitoring clinical observations and recognising deterioration
• Maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns immediately
