Job summary

Komplex Care Limited is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide hands-on support in a young adult's Derby home. You will follow detailed clinical plans, assist with personal care and required interventions, and coordinate with nurse-led oversight to keep the client safe, comfortable and engaged in meaningful activities.

The role emphasises skill, focus and calm decision-making under pressure, with nurse-led supervision and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in care or willingness to undertake clinical training.
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently.
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.

Job description

You’ll care for a young adult in Derby, working weekend hours to provide safe and consistent care in their own home. They require support with O2 monitoring, Peg, Moving and handling and personal care. Beyond their clinical needs, they enjoy going out to see various activities, and you’ll help them enjoy the things that matter most to them safely. With nurse‑led oversight, individualised clinical training and the wider Komplex Group behind you, you’ll provide the standard of care you’d want for your own family.

Your role as a Care Assistant

You’ll join a dedicated, nurse‑led team providing hands‑on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life‑critical clinical needs. This is NOT standard domiciliary care. You’ll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual’s condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing personal care, medication and clinical interventions
• Managing tracheostomies, ventilation and specialist equipment
• Monitoring clinical observations and recognising deterioration
• Maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns immediately
