Quantum Care's Mountbatten Lodge Care Home in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an Activity Care Assistant to join a welcoming team. You will provide compassionate person-centred care and support residents with respect to maintain independence, engaging in activities tailored to individual needs.

No prior experience required if you are empathetic with good communication skills; full induction training is provided.

Care Assistant,

You will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver a variety of engaging activates and social events for residents
• Utilise the resources and computer to plan and inform families on resident activities
• Work closely with the care team to ensure activities are tailored to residents' physical, emotional and cognitive needs.
• Encourage residents to pursue their hobbies, interests and personal goals.
• Help create a stimulating, safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
• Support special events, celebrations, themed days and seasonal activities within the home.
• Ensure all activities comply with health, safety and safeguarding policies.
• Promote dignity, respect, choice and person-centred care at all times.
