Job summary

Agincare is hiring a Care Assistant at our Weston-super-Mare location. The role involves companionship, personal care, medication support, meals, and light domestic tasks to help clients live independently. We offer full training, progression, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Join a long-standing, UK-wide care provider committed to high-quality service. Prior care experience is welcome but not required as full training is provided. This is a full-time position with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
• There is one full time position available working 36 hours per week, to include alternate weekends.
• Experience in a care role is desirable, however full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage with clients.
• Assist with personal care including washes, baths or showers, and dressing.
• Assist, prompt or administer medications and creams.
• Support with meals and healthy snacks.

What is required from you?

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care -supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication -Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals - Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks - light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities - Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
