ExtraCare Charitable Trust is recruiting a Care Assistant for Stoke Gifford Retirement Village in Bristol. The role covers 35 hours per week with a shift pattern from early to late and alternate weekends. It is a fixed-term post until August 2027 to cover maternity leave, with a salary of £14.33 per hour.

You will provide domiciliary care within our retirement village, promoting residents’ wellbeing and independence while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with a supportive team.

• Holding a care certificate or willingness to undertake a care qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, patient and supportive in care delivery.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting time to be joining Stoke Giffordand be part of a supportive team in a luxury retirement village.

We provide a domiciliary care service all under one roof. No more travelling!

• Role: Care Assistant
• Employment Type: Fixed Term until August 2027 to cover for Maternity Leave.
• Hours: 35hrs per week
• Shift:
  • Shift pattern of AM from 7am/PM finishing by 10pm
  • Must be flexible
  • Includes alternate weekends Saturday and Sunday
• Salary: £14.33ph
• Location: Stoke Gifford Retirement Village, Edward Parker Road,Bristol,BS16 1YG

As aCare Assistant, you will be expected to carry out the following tasks:

• Provide all aspects of domiciliary careto our residents including both physical, personal care and support with social activities,
• Promoting and supporting the physical, emotional and well-being of our residents
• Encourage independence and self-belief
• Ensure records and documents are completed in line with our policy.

Person Specification

• Hold acare certificate or willing to undertake a care qualification
• Personable, an effective communicator and a team player
• Passionate about delivering a quality care service
• Flexible with hours.
