Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a Care and Support Assistant to join Elizabeth House in Stony Stratford. The role is part-time, based on-site, with 20 hours per week and an hourly rate of £13.70–£15.00, with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends.

You will help residents with daily tasks, support wellbeing activities, promote independence, and contribute to a safe, friendly living environment within a single location. Full training is provided, with opportunities to develop in a caring career.

Qualifications

• 1+ year UK health and social care experience preferred.
• Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care is a plus, but not essential.
• Must be able to commute to Stony Stratford.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily tasks such as appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping.
• Support social activities and wellbeing routines.
• Promote independence, dignity and community engagement.
• Assist with individual care packages as needed.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred,
• Qualification: Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
• Personality: Caring, dependable, and passionate about supporting older adults
• Location: Living within commuting distance of the development.
