Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a Care Assistant for Oakfield Court in Urmston, Manchester. This on-site, part-time role is designed for 16 hours per week with no travel between visits, supporting residents in a single location.

The role offers competitive hourly rates (£13.26–£14.56) with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, fully funded training, a company pension and wellbeing support. A positive, caring attitude is essential for helping residents live independently in a community setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a UK health and social care role is preferred.
• Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care is a plus, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily domestic tasks (appointments, light cleaning, laundry, shopping).
• Assist with social activities and wellbeing routines.
• Promote independence, dignity and community engagement.
