Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd. is seeking a part-time Care Assistant for our John Percyvale Court development in Macclesfield. Join a close-knit team to support residents in a single location and make a real difference in their daily lives.

Role focuses on helping residents with daily tasks, encouraging independence and social activities, and contributing to personalised care plans. Training is provided and recent prior care experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in UK health and social care preferred.
• Caring, dependable and patient-focused.
• A genuine desire to support older adults living in a retirement community.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily tasks such as appointments, light housekeeping, laundry and shopping.
• Assist with social activities and wellbeing routines on-site.
• Promote independence, dignity and community engagement among residents.
• Support with individual care packages as part of care plans.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting residents with daily domestic tasks like appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping
• Assisting with social activities and wellbeing routines
• Promoting independence, dignity, and community engagement
• Supporting with individual care packages

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience: 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred,
• Qualification: Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
• Personality: Caring, dependable, and passionate about supporting older adults
• Location: Living within commuting distance of the development.
