Job summary

McCarthy & Stone in Cheltenham is hiring a Care Assistant for Jenner Court. This part-time role offers 16 hours per week in a single, on-site location with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends. No travel between calls; you’ll support residents in a central development.

You’ll assist with daily tasks, wellbeing activities, and aim to promote independence and community engagement among residents. Training is provided and on-site benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred.
• Qualification: Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
• Personality: Caring, dependable, and passionate about supporting older adults.
• Location: Living within commuting distance of Jenner Court development.

Jenner Court is a Retirement Living PLUS development close to the centre of Cheltenham. It consists of one and two bedroom retirement apartments exclusively for the over 70s. It has some outstanding communal facilities, including a communal lounge and on‑site restaurant and landscaped gardens.

You will be working a mix of early shifts, and late shifts, including alternate weekends.
