Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a Care and Support Assistant for Townsend Court Development in Rushden, Northamptonshire. This part-time role (20 hours per week) focuses on a stable, single-site environment with no travel between calls.

Shifts are predominantly late (4pm–9pm) with alternate weekends (8am–12pm). Training is provided, and there are benefits including pension and life insurance, plus 24/7 wellbeing support for staff.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred.
  • Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care is a plus, but not essential.
  • Living within commuting distance of the development.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with daily domestic tasks such as appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping.
  • Assist with social activities and wellbeing routines.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and community engagement.
  • Support with individual care packages.

You will be working predominately on our late shifts which are 4pm to 9pm, including on alternate weekends which may include 8am to 12pm.

Who We’re Looking For:
  • Experience: 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred,
  • Qualification: Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.

  • Location: Living within commuting distance of the development.
