Job summary

Bluebell View in Oswestry is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide a team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care and maintain leadership during shifts. You will oversee medication, monitor residents' wellbeing and ensure accurate records, collaborating with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

You will have a Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care (minimum) with Level 3 desirable or be willing to work towards it, plus essential medication

Qualifications

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.

Job description

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents' wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate. You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

• [SVQ/NVQ] Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial

• £15.70 - £16.30 per hour
