Job summary

Choices Homecare, part of the Optimo Care Group, is seeking Care Assistants to support clients across Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield. The role offers £13.65 per hour with flexible full-time and part-time hours, plus mileage allowance and clear progression paths.

You will help with personal care, medication support, meals, and daily living tasks, while building trusting relationships with service users and families in their homes across the South Yorkshire area.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence and own vehicle access for some routes/locations.
• Experience in care is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with medication administration and accurate documentation.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking when needed.
• Encourage independence and support daily living activities.
• Build positive relationships with service users and families.
• Monitor wellbeing and report changes in needs or behaviour.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with colleagues.

Rate of Pay: £13.65 per hour

Flexible full-time and part-time hours available

What we are looking for

• Previous care experience is helpful, but not essential.

What to expect in this role

• Care is delivered 7 days a week between 07:00 and 23:00
• We ask for a minimum of 20hours per week
• Every other weekend availability is required

What you will do

• Support people with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
