Bluebird Care Market Harborough & Oadby is seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Market Harborough/Oadby. You’ll support customers with daily living in their own homes, following care plans, assisting with personal care, meals and medication, either independently or with a supportive team.

We offer full induction and ongoing training, paid travel time and mileage, flexible shift patterns, PPE and uniform, DBS checks and references, and a friendly, 24/7 supported work

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Experience as a support worker beneficial but not essential.
• Kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a support worker, healthcare assistant, carer or care worker would be beneficial but not essential
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous healthcare assistant experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
