Job Description

What you'll do

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. For this role, you must have experience in caring for clients with PEG feeds. We support people of all ages in the community and their homes, including those with Spinal Cord injuries, Muscular Dystrophy, acquired brain injuries, and other complex needs. Every day brings new challenges, and your work will make a real difference in clients’ lives while helping you develop your skills and knowledge.

The client is a gentleman in his early 60s with a spinal injury. Your daily responsibilities will include monitoring his clinical needs, such as:

• Managing daily suctioning and manual cough assist
• Managing non-invasive ventilation via Cpap
• Managing bowel care, including manual evacuation
• Performing personal care as required

Qualifications

What you'll need

Experience in adult healthcare with the following requirements is essential:

• Experience with suction machines
• Experience with catheter care and bowel management
• Experience with administering medication
