Job summary

The Fleet Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, in Dartmouth, Devon, is hiring a Care Assistant to provide person-centred care for residents, supporting dignity and independence. You will assist with daily living, personal care and nutrition, while following care plans and maintaining safety.

The role welcomes both experienced carers and newcomers, with full training and ongoing development. Successful candidates will work alternate weekends.

Job description

Our care home, nestled in the picturesque town of Dartmouth in Devon, provides exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 79 residents, offering a serene and supportive environment where quality care meets coastal charm.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.33 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
