Job summary

Alexander House Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with daily living and care plans. The role involves personal care, mobility and emotional wellbeing, with an emphasis on dignity and respect in a warm team environment.

Full training and ongoing development are provided; weekend alternate shifts are required. NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but willingness to learn and grow is valued as well.

Job description

Our newly built care home is based in the charming suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter. We offer exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care for 67 residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.00 per hour
• Full & Poart time hours available
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
