Job summary

Care Concern Group's Watford House Care Home is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, dignity and independence. You will provide personal care, assist mobility, and help with nutrition, following tailored care plans.

The role welcomes both experienced carers and newcomers, with full training and ongoing development. Availability to work alternate weekends and a collaborative, compassionate team environment are key aspects of this opportunity.

Qualifications

  • Caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living including personal care and mobility.
  • Follow care plans and monitor changes in condition.
  • Support residents’ nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
  • Create a warm, respectful environment as part of a supportive team.
  • Attend full training and ongoing development.

Job description

Care Assistant Contract
  • £12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 36 hours per week
  • Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
