Job summary

Care Concern Group, based in Wirral, is seeking a Care Assistant to join Hazelwell Care Home, part of the group. You will provide person-centred care to residents, supporting daily living and well-being in a compassionate, respectful manner.

Training and development are provided, with weekend alternation. NVQ Level 2 is desirable. The role includes an average weekly schedule of 36–48 hours and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Care assistant role requires a caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork are important in a residential care setting.
• Reliable, positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living, personal care, mobility, nutrition and wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and notice changes in condition to ensure safe, responsive care.
• Contribute to a warm, welcoming environment where relationships matter.
• Work as part of a supportive team and cover alternate weekends.

Based in the Wirral, our stunning all-inclusive 55-bed care facility offers high-quality Nursing, Residential, Dementia & Respite care.

Care Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 36-48 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
