Responsibilities

• Meal and Hydration Support: help with meals and drinks to meet nutritional needs.
• Mobility Assistance: support safe movement and transfers with equipment as required.
• Companionship: provide emotional support and social engagement.
• Monitoring Health: observe changes and report concerns to senior care team.
• Care Planning: follow care plans and contribute to reviews.
• Record Keeping: maintain daily care notes and report incidents.
• Safeguarding: protect residents and follow safety procedures.

As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents with their daily needs, promoting their independence and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable and respected. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and treating everyone with dignity and kindness.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist residents with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting while maintaining their privacy and dignity.
• Daily Living Support: Help residents with everyday tasks, encouraging independence wherever possible.
• Medication Support: Assist with or administer medication in accordance with training, care plans and company policies, where authorised.
• Meal and Hydration Support: Help residents with meals and drinks, ensuring their nutritional and hydration needs are met.
• Mobility Assistance: Support residents with moving around safely, including walking and transferring, using appropriate equipment where required.
• Companionship: Provide emotional support, conversation and companionship to promote residents' wellbeing.
• Monitoring Health: Observe changes in residents' physical or emotional wellbeing and report any concerns to the senior care team.
• Care Planning: Follow individual care plans and contribute to reviews to ensure residents receive appropriate, personalised support.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily care notes and report incidents or concerns promptly.
• Safeguarding: Protect residents from harm and follow safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety procedures.
• Activities and Engagement: Encourage residents to participate in social activities and hobbies that support their independence and quality of life.
• Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
• Infection Control: Follow hygiene and infection prevention procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
