Job summary

Connected Health in Crossmaglen is seeking a Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes. No prior homecare experience is required as accredited training and ongoing development are provided.

You will assist with daily living activities, respect clients’ dignity, and follow service plans to help families stay independent at home. We offer mileage at 20p per mile, a competitive hourly rate up to £14.10, flexible shifts, a £200 sign-on bonus after 3 months, plus development and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Experience in homecare is helpful but not essential.
• Good standard of English, written and spoken.
• Driver licence required or access to your own car.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support in line with each service user’s care plan.
• Respect service users’ dignity and choices at all times.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Report changes in a service user’s condition to the supervisor.
• Complete required documentation and attend training sessions.

Who We're Looking For

Experience: Previous experience in homecare is helpful but not essential

Communication Skills: Good standard of English, both written and spoken

Driver Requirement: Must have a valid driver's licence and access to your own car

Flexibility: Must be available to work alternative weekends

Key duties and responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support in line with each service user's individual care plan, preferences and needs.
• Respect service users' dignity, independence and choices at all times.
• Maintain professional relationships with service users, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
• Report any changes in a service user's condition or circumstances to the relevant supervisor.
• Follow Connected Health policies, procedures, Health and Safety requirements and on-call guidance.
• Complete all required documentation, including care records and timesheets.
• Attend induction, training, supervision and team meetings as required.
• Maintain and develop knowledge and skills through ongoing training and experience.
• Undertake additional duties as requested by the Service Manager, following any required training.

To undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
