Job summary

Connected Health is seeking a Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes in Islandmagee. No prior homecare experience is required as accredited training and ongoing development are provided.

You will work in a supportive environment providing compassionate personal care and daily living support. A valid driver’s license and access to your own car are required, with flexible weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Experience in homecare is helpful but not required.
• Good standard of English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support per care plan.
• Respect dignity, independence and choices of service users.
• Maintain professional relationships with service users, families and professionals.
• Report changes in a service user's condition to supervisor.
• Follow policies and on-call guidance.
• Complete documentation including care records and timesheets.
• Attend Induction, training and team meetings.

Who We're Looking For

• Experience: Previous experience in homecare is helpful but not essential
• Communication Skills: Good standard of English, both written and spoken
• Driver Requirement: Must have a valid driver's licence and access to your own car
• Flexibility: Must be available to work alternative weekends

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support in line with each service user's individual care plan, preferences and needs.
• Respect service users' dignity, independence and choices at all times.
• Maintain professional relationships with service users, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
• Report any changes in a service user's condition or circumstances to the relevant supervisor.
• Follow Connected Health policies, procedures, Health and Safety requirements and on-call guidance.
• Complete all required documentation, including care records and timesheets.
• Attend induction, training, supervision and team meetings as required.
• Maintain and develop knowledge and skills through ongoing training and experience.
• Undertake additional duties as requested by the Service Manager, following any required training.
