Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd. invites applications for a Care Assistant at Jenner Court, Cheltenham. This role is part-time (16 hours per week) in a single location, offering meaningful care to residents aged 70+. The position emphasizes dignity, independence and a supportive on-site team.

Flexibility with early/late shifts and weekends is provided, with funded training opportunities to achieve Level 2 or 3 in Adult Care and additional staff benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in UK health and social care preferred.
• Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) a plus, not essential.
• Caring, dependable and passionate about helping older adults.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily domestic tasks such as appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping.
• Assist with social activities and wellbeing routines to promote engagement.
• Encourage independence, dignity and community involvement.
• Support with individual care packages as needed.

Jenner Court is a Retirement Living PLUS development close to the centre of Cheltenham. It consists of one and two bedroom retirement apartments exclusively for the over 70s. It has some outstanding communal facilities, including a communal lounge and on-site restaurant and landscaped gardens.

You will be working a mix of early shifts, and late shifts, including alternate weekends.
