Job summary

Herts at Home Limited is recruiting Care Assistants for Extra Care in Borehamwood. You will support adults in their homes and independent living schemes, following care plans with a compassionate approach.

We offer two part-time contracts with overtime and sleep-in options, DBS and uniform funded, and opportunities for training and career progression. Applicants should be caring, responsible and reliable, with a flexible schedule to cover mornings, evenings and weekends.

Care Assistant (Extra Care)

Role: Care Assistant - Extra Care

Location: Fountain Court, Borehamwood

Pay Rate: £14.47 per hour

Part Time Opportunities: We currently have two part-time contract opportunities available, with additional opportunities for overtime and sleep-in shifts.

Contract one

Week 1

Friday: 2:30pm to 10:00pm

Saturday: 7:00am to 2:30pm

Sunday: 7:00am to 2:30pm

Week 2

Saturday: 2:30pm to 10:00pm

Sunday: 7:00am to 2:30pm

Sunday: 2:30pm to 10:00pm

Contract 2

Week 1

Thursday: 2:30pm to 10:00pm

Saturday: 7:00am to 2:30pm

Sunday: 7:00am to 2:30pm

Week 2

Wednesday: 2:30pm to 10:00pm

Friday: 2:30pm to 10:00pm

Saturday: 2:30pm to 10:00pm

Herts at Home is a care provider working with Hertfordshire County Council, providing care for people living in their own homes in the community and also in independent living schemes (Extra Care) across the North Herts area.

Am I the Right Person for the Job?

You are if you:

• Have a passion for delivering high quality care to a wide variety of older people.

• Are able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we support.

• Are comfortable in assisting individuals with their personal care where this is required.

• Experience as a care worker would be an advantage but is not essential as full training is provided. Therefore, we actively encourage applications from candidates with no previous experience.

• Roles will encompass morning and evening shifts, weekday and weekend working. Some also include a sleep over shift. If you are unsure what this means, please call us - we will be happy to discuss it with you.

Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check before commencement of employment.
