Job summary

Herts at Home in Hitchin is seeking a compassionate Community Care Assistant to support people in their own homes and within the community, supervising and mentoring clients to promote independence and wellbeing. You'll work part-time, mornings or evenings with occasional weekend work; a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

DBS, training, and rewards are provided by the employer.

Qualifications

• Experience in community care or similar role preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Flexible schedule including mornings/evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to clients in their homes or community settings.

Role: Community Care Assistant

Location: Hitchin

Hours : Part time - Various contracts 10- 30 hours per week. Bank work also available

Pay Rate: £15.53 Per Hour & 40p Per Mile

Working Hours: Mornings 7am - 2pm Evenings 4pm - 10pm. Some weekend working would be beneficial

Please note:

A valid drivers licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role

About Herts at Home

Herts at Home are a lead care provider working with Hertfordshire county council and we provide care for people living in their own homes in the community.

Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to clients in their homes or community settings


• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming


• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules


• Monitor and record clients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals


• Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring clients' dietary needs are met


• Carrying out moving and assisting techniques specific to the clients needs.
