Job summary

Advantage Healthcare in Ashington (part of CCH) is seeking a Complex Care Assistant. You’ll join a supportive team, delivering high‑quality personal care to a young gentleman with cerebral palsy, including PEG feeding and seizures support, with full training and clinical supervision.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in tracheostomy care, ventilation, and moving and handling, plus paid induction, DBS coverage, and clear career progression within a values‑driven organisation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a complex care assistant role is advantageous.
• Experience with PEG feeding is advantageous.
• Experience with moving and handling equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support a young gentleman with cerebral palsy, providing personal care and social interaction.
• Administer medications via PEG and support seizure management.
• Work with a caring team to gain clinical training and experience.
• Receive full training and paid induction.

What you'll do

Join our team as a Complex Care Assistant and take the opportunity to enhance your skills with full training and clinical support in areas such as tracheostomy care, ventilation, seizure management, PEG feeding, and more. You'll be supporting a young gentleman in his early twenties with cerebral palsy, working alongside a caring team to provide personal care, medication via PEG, seizure support, and meaningful social interaction. Every day brings something new, and you'll be making a real difference in someone’s life while growing your own knowledge and experience in complex care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a complex care assistant role is extremely advantageous, especially involving the following clinical tasks:

• PEG feeding.
• Moving & Handling Equipment.
