Job summary

Advantage Healthcare, part of CCH, Birmingham, is hiring a Complex Care Assistant to join our growing team.

You’ll receive full training and clinical support to develop skills in complex care areas; you’ll provide 1-1 care to a lady with a spinal cord injury, including personal care, meals, medication administration, and community access.

Full UK driving licence required; DBS check provided; progression into leadership roles available.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care is not essential, but advantageous for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-1 care for the client with a spinal cord injury.
  • Assist with meals, personal care, bowel management and catheter care.
  • Administer medications and assist with community access.
  • Support with daily exercises and using home equipment.

What you’ll do

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care plus so much more!

This rewarding, person-centred role involves providing 1-1 care for a lady who has a spinal cord injury. Your tasks will include preparing meals, personal care, bowel management and catheter care, medication administration and assisting with accessing the community. She also requires support with her daily excersises, which she has her equipment in her home.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

Experience in the following is not essential, but extremely advantageous for this role:

  • Bowel Management
  • Medication Administration

The only requirement would be that you will need a full valid UK licence.
