Job summary

The Coppice, Bicton Shrewsbury, SY3 8DT, is seeking a Care and Support Worker to assist tenants aged 55+ with daily living tasks while delivering compassionate, person-centred care in a vibrant ShireLiving community.

You will help with personal care, housing duties and participate in activities, ensuring residents feel safe, valued and engaged each day.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist tenants with personal care, shopping, cleaning, laundry, socialisation, and meal preparation.
  • Support tenants with medication management and daily activities as required.
  • Support tenants with social activities and events (bingo, live music, gardening, crafts, meals).
  • Promote inclusivity, independence and respect for residents' needs.

Are you seeking a new challenge as a Care and Support Worker that allows you the opportunity to demonstrate a caring and compassionate nature, delivering excellent care and support services? If so, we would love to hear from you.

The Coppice is a largeShireLiving service with 70 apartments offering people over the age of 55 a home for life where they can live independently within one of our apartments, with the additional reassurance that our team are on-site for 24 hours a day offering safety and security for all of our tenants who all have varying needs. Our vibrant communities within ShireLiving thrive on connection and joy, offering activities tailored to what our residents love most. Together, we create a warm, engaging environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Our team of Care and Support Workers also support our tenants with social activities and events like bingo, live music, active gardening club, indoor bowling, craft activities, breakfast, lunches and snacks. When required, Care and Support Workers also support our tenants with personal care, shopping, cleaning, laundry, socialisation, medication management and meal preparation.
