Job summary

The Wrekin Housing Group Limited is seeking a part-time Care and Support Worker to join Ashwood, ShireLiving, in Oswestry. You will contribute to a home-for-life community for residents aged 55+ and provide on-site care and support with a caring, compassionate approach.

Hours are 21 per week with on-site management support, working in a warm, engaging environment that promotes independence and inclusion for tenants with varying needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist tenants with personal care, shopping, cleaning, laundry, socialisation and meal preparation.
  • Support tenants to participate in social activities and events and community life.

Ashwood,ShireLiving service, offers people over the age of 55 a home for life where they can live independently within one of our apartments, with the additional reassurance that our team are on-site for 24 hours a day offering safety and security for all of our tenants who all have varying needs. Our vibrant communities within ShireLiving thrive on connection and joy, offering activities tailored to what our residents love most. Together, we create a warm, engaging environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Our team of Care and Support Workers also support our tenants with social activities and events like bingo, live music, active gardening club, indoor bowling, craft activities, breakfast, lunches and snacks. When required, Care and Support Workers also support our tenants with personal care, shopping, cleaning, laundry, socialisation, medication management and meal preparation.
