Job summary

Valley Care Direct is seeking 4 local Community Care Workers to join our team in Matlock. You will provide life-changing in-home care, supporting adults to live independently with dignity. Shifts include mornings 7am-3pm; opportunities for part-time or full-time roles are available.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided, including induction and update training; a driving licence and vehicle are preferred to reach clients across the area.

Qualifications

• Have the right to work within the UK.
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
• No previous experience is necessary but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care.

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
• Help with mobility and use of aids and equipment.
• Carry out domestic tasks like beds, tidying, light cleaning and laundry.

Job Description:

• Our home care assistants are responsible for assisting service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
• Helping service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
• Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks
• Support with administrating medication.
• Contribute as needed to a person’s end-of-life care
