Valley Care Derbyshire is hiring a Care & Support Worker to provide personalised in-home care that keeps clients safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. You’ll build trust, foster independence and support daily living with compassion.

No prior care experience is required; training, induction, and ongoing support are provided to help you grow and succeed in a rewarding career within a family-focused team.

Qualifications

• Personal care with dignity, respect, and compassion.
• Support people with mobility and safe equipment use.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration.
• Prompt or administer medication as per care plans.
• Light household duties including cleaning, laundry and bedding.

• £13.00 - £16.60 per hour (paid every two weeks)
• 35p per mile mileage allowance* (*Additional mileage paid where the distance between two consecutive calls exceeds 4 miles)

We have both full-time and part-time positions available and would love you to become part of our supportive, family-focused team.

Typical Working Hours

• Morning shifts: 7:00am, 8:00am or until approximately 2:00pm–3:00pm
• Evening shifts: 4:00pm–10:00pm

About the Role

As a Care & Support Worker, you'll provide personalised care and support that helps people remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.

Your role may include:

• Providing personal care with dignity, respect, and compassion
• Supporting people with mobility and the safe use of equipment
• Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration
• Prompting or administering medication in line with care plans
• Carrying out light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, and changing bedding
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Encouraging independence and supporting people to access their local community where appropriate
• Delivering compassionate end-of-life care when required
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting changes in wellbeing
