Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Staff Nurse in Cardiology on a temporary maternity leave cover for 12 months at Fairfield Hospital, Rochdale. The role is open to internal candidates only and involves caring for patients on our 10-bed Day Surgical Unit, supporting cardiology procedures.

We seek motivated, flexible nurses with excellent communication and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Full NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Nursing degree or equivalent.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Completion of a registered nursing preceptorship.
• Desirable: student supervisor/assessor experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care around procedures.
• Provide high-quality nursing care on a 10-bed Day Surgical Unit.
• Support patients undergoing cardiology procedures (Angiogram, PCI, Pacemaker/Defibrillator, LINQ).
