Job summary

Primary Care North Cumbria is seeking a Temporary Practice Nurse to cover a 12 month maternity period within the Copeland team. You will support GPs and the wider primary care team, delivering nursing care and clinical duties in the community.

Roles are full or part time with negotiable contracted hours; salary depends on experience. Training and professional development are encouraged to maintain high standards of patient care in a not-for-profit practice network.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with current practice in community health settings.
• Experience in chronic disease management and health promotion.
• Good communication and IT skills for primary care systems.
• Willingness to undertake continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard nursing care within the community and support GPs.
• Administer vaccinations and conduct well person clinics as needed.
• Assist with triage, care planning, chronic disease training, and lifestyle advice.
• Maintain infection control and safety in line with local guidelines.
