Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Patient Pathway Assistant - Cardiology to deliver comprehensive administrative support within the Cardiology diagnostics team. You will handle phone enquiries, book appointments, and maintain clinic lists with accuracy, empathy and diplomacy.

This role focuses on frontline patient care, effective communication, and adherence to governance while supporting a busy NHS department in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• ECDL, Outlook, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access.

Responsibilities

• Book diagnostic test appointments with attention to clinical guidance.
• Answer patient enquiries by telephone with empathy.
• Prepare clinic lists and maintain accurate administrative records.
• Provide front line customer care and act as a contact for complaints.
• Support the Cardiology diagnostics team with routine tasks.
